The mp3's

In round 1 of the project I am using the best version of a mp3 hymn that I can find where the primary instrument is the piano.

If you are browsing and know of a better mp3 file that can be used for any of the hymns please feel free to let me know about it.

Re: The mp3's

I updated a ton of mp3 files over the last couple of weeks. Most of the updates are in the W-Z titles but there are also several in the L-V titles.

I also found mp3 files for some of the songs that are under copyright which really came as a surprise. Those files are hidden from the general public but I have them so I can show the studio musicians kinda what I am looking for when recording sessions start.

Re: The mp3's

When I started this project the first goal was just to find the music anywhere. The result was a eclectic hodgepodge of music quality ranging from very poor to totally outstanding.

The ongoing "second round" is to get all the mp3 files in a "usable form" for singing and providing consistency in mp3 rendering. Those mp3 files you see as 48 kHz, 192 kbps in rendering are the ones that have been updated to "second round" quality.

The third round will be custom recordings which will be music performances in a studio.

Caught up (kinda). All hymns with a link to the mp3 files now point to 2nd round efforts which means they are all in stereo, 48 khz, 192 kbps... emoticon

I updated about 50 of the mp3 files for the hymns I have not yet posted here. There are about 20 hymns that still do not have what I would call even decent "practice music" but they are good enough to give the average person the tune of the hymn to work with.

The total number of hymns is now at 531 with over 25 hours of recordings!
