Re: Silent Night While trying to find the copyright information for this carol I found the same tune with different lyrics on more than one occasion. I found verses 1-3 in: The Sunday School Service and Tune Book (1863) hymn #15, page 26. I found verse 4 in: Hymns and Sacred Songs (1918) hymn #230, page 202. So by both CCLI and the publication dates on the verses I am assured that this carol is in the public domain.
